The bott Smartvan frame system is incredibly simple once you have an understanding of how they work.
And that's exactly what we're going to get into here.
When you're outfitting your workshop, garage, or trailer, you have some freedom on the widths of frames you can use; it really just depends on the full width of space you're working with.
For a van, our website guides you to the exact frames that fit your vehicle, which come with brackets specifically designed for your van so you won't have to drill any holes into the van walls.
But once you know what frames are right for you, then what?
We have several pre-configured modules with curated accessories already picked out and ready to go, but what about adding more accessories or building your own customized system?
In the short video above, our CEO Chris explains how our frames can be arranged to accommodate accessories like shelves, drawers, systainers, and more to get the most out of your storage space and tailor your workspace to your tools and workflow.
We have several different frame widths available depending on your vehicle or workspace.
Shelves and a couple of other accessories, like load securing rails, perfo panels, and gas bottle holders, come in all of those widths, but of our common accessories like drawers, wire baskets, systainers, and reel holders come in two widths: M (16 1/2") and L (20 7/8").
The two smallest frame widths align with these M (19" wide frame" and L (24" frame) accessories perfectly, and the two largest frame widths can be divided using internal upright frame dividers to break these larger frames up into M and L width columns.
For example, the most common 42" frame, which fits the rear section of every cargo van sold in North America, can be divided into two sections, one M and one L, using an internal upright divider. That same frame can also be divided into two M width columns by using a wider perfo center upright. This option is perfect for folks with a lot of M systainers, drawers, wire baskets etc. who also want to take advantage of the center space with perfo accessories to hold things like cables, levels, and pliers. The 37" wide frame can also be divided with an internal upright to create two M width columns.
Dividing these frames up into smaller columns maximizes the amount of accessories you can include and tailors the storage to your exact needs while still allowing you to make changes in the future.
